Bike Wheel, Birch on Colour. A diminishing colourful floral motif surrounds a bike wheel that sets a scene of two children riding on one bicycle along a treelined silhouetted horizon. This wooden artwork is inspired by nostalgia and sentiment with childhood memories of freedom. This work is a 3D relief sculpture and is made from 7 individual layers of birch plywood that are laser cut, coloured, hand finished and set behind a natural birch veneer.
