Leap into the Unknown, Birch on Birch is a celebration of the fearless confidence in young people as they take on new challenges without a second thought. Inspired by my son’s fascination of nature, in particular butterflies, this piece is a reminder to us all of how we felt when we were young. This work is a 3D relief sculpture and is made from 7 individual layers of birch plywood that are laser cut, hand finished and set behind a natural birch veneer.
